What is Bronchitis ?
Bronchitis is inflammation of bronchi due to exposure to cold, breathing of irritants, or acute infection.
Type of Bronchitis ??
- Bronchitis are two types –
- Acute Tracheo Bronchitis or
- Chronic Bronchitis

1. Acute Tracheo Bronchitis:
Acute inflammation of Tracheo bronchial tree caused by various organisms like bacteria and viruses.
- Clinical Features of Acute Tracheo Bronchitis
- Irritating cough without expectoration.
- Sometime mucoid or mucopurulent sputum.
- Fever is not constant feature and dyspnoea may develop where there is pre-existent chronic bronchitis or disease.
2. Chronic Bronchitis
Chronic bronchitis may be defined as a disease characterised by cough and sputum for at least 3 consecutive months in a year for more then 2 successive years.
